It has taken me quite a while to reflect on the happenings of the month of February. I did a lot during the month. It is a short month. That’s my excuse. LOL When I think back to February, it began with attending the funeral of my great-uncle. He lived a great life from what I know and remember of him. Life. Reflecting on the past month and spending the start of it with extended family. Seeing my grandmother and talking about turning 40 yrs in January. LOL You know what she said? She was like, ‘I’m 91!’ and then she began to laugh. LOL Time flies, time flows and time sometimes stop. Time is a simple illusion. This journey is an illusion. At times, it just flows perfectly and in perfect time. Other times, it drags, it feels like its attempting to erode its way along the path. A good way of thinking about it, it’s like water.
Since I was in my younger years, I would say to folks “I flow like water”. I know my intentions. I know my purpose. However, when dealing with time and this journey, you have to flow like water. Sometimes the flow will be smooth sailing, other times it will be like the white water rapids. But you have to continue to flow and know for sure, that love is in each moment of the journey.
I think I went a little off topic, but I’m flowing. Eh, for the month of February, I reflect on Life. Love and Being. After attending my uncle’s funeral and spending some great time with family, remembering younger days with cousins. I traveled to Trinidad for carnival. Yes, the greatest show on Earth! It’s my annual stress reliever. The moment you touchdown you can feel an energy shift and you just simply flow to the riddims of the island. It was a great carnival. We linked up with old friends and just had ah time. I even saw friends who I haven’t shared the best vibes with lately and it was all good. You just emit the energy you intend and let it flow. My intent is always love and I hope it’s the energy others receive in my presence. Trinidad carnival is an experience I look forward to each year. It’s a time when I Live Love. Breathe Love. Be Love.
